No WRITER left behind
As bloggers and authors we have to look out for each other. If you see one struggling lift them up so they are never let down. As a WRITER there are 6 things each of us can do at anytime that can help us complete our manuscript mission. Give back to our universe so we have No WRITER Left Behind.
W is for Write.
Players play and writers write. Never forget who you are and what you are put on earth to do. When you‘re happy or sad pull out a pen or pad. Your weakest moment could inspire your greatest novel. When I least expect it a great idea is always write on time.
R is for Research.
If you ever think you have run out of ideas do some simple research. If you Google your industry keywords it will inform you of new topics and new publications that may need your key insight. If you look at my blog Encouragement Speaker you will find an opportunity for you to write a Words of Encouragement blog post to inspire people in your industry.
I is for Improve.
No one is perfect and we all can get better. Improvements can come from asking others for suggestions to just reading your work out loud to make sure it sense.
T is for Teach.
No matter what level of writer you are there is always someone that can use your help. You would be surprised in how much we can teach each other when we are willing to listen and learn. The more people you help along the way the more that will be available to help you in your time of need.
E is for Encourage.
There are writers that have the ability that just need someone to believe in them. When you see talent do your best to guide it in the right direction. A positive seed from you may plant a best seller effort into them.
R is for Respect.
Always do your best and don’t take writing for granted. Write like your words can save lives. They do and they will. Pay your dues and writing will do things for you that even words can’t describe. Make Aretha Franklin proud.
Write, Research, Improve, Teach, Encourage and Respect literacy so no WRITER will be left behind.

It’s an old story: as the source of a success the writer is often the first forgotten and the last remembered. I always hate it when that happens — and especially when the scrub is perpetuated by another writer! Well, it happened today in an LA Times story looking at the implications and causes of the recent mass bird die-offs. In a sidebar to the feature, staffwriter Amina Kahn makes a case that a 1961 incident around Monterey Bay was director Alfred Hitchcock’s inspiration for his 1963 film “The Birds.”

You got it right, Derrick. You have inspiring words that every writer should keep in mind. It is still a lot of work but your tips serve as guide to becoming fulfilled writers.
Mdenise, thank you for your words of encouragement
Brilliant Acronym, very clever. Now, when I start writing I will think of your words here. I just started taking my writing career more seriously. I entered a nonfiction writing contest and I am close to publishing my first ebook. I really hoping to find a community of supportive writers.

“Give back to our universe so we have No WRITER Left Behind”…Such beautiful and inspiring words. This article is really inspiring, Derrick. I agree that bloggers and writers should always help each other because the more we help, the more writing inspiration we get. I will definitely share this article with my writer friends. Thank you for your words

Thank you for posting this article! I really like your last point from the meaning of the word w-r-i-t-e-r, the r:Respect! Writer must be respected, because sometimes they do their job for a few bucks. It is very interesting.

Nice to know the meaning of writer. Generally writers are taken for granted. After reading your post, everyone will better know, what exactly writer is! Thanks for sharing.
Thanl you and how are things going your way?
Quite right. Really you hit the biggest nail on the head right from the get go; writers write. if you can’t think of anything to write then write about not being able to write. Once you get bored of that, then start writing about being bored (I actually got some rather good short stories out of doing that) just keep getting words down.
I’ve been writing for years now, and I firmly believe that it is almost entirely a game of momentum. The more you write the better you get, and the easier it gets to write more. Nobody ever produced anything worth reading by sitting around agonising over what they should write about.
Thanks for your words of encouragement. How are things going your way?
That is a good point. Rather than bring down a struggling writer, help him/her overcome his/her difficulties instead. As writing is a learned skill, there is always room for improvement.

I like this! My favourite are the first and last – write and respect. ‘Write’ is one of those things that seems so simple that it’s taken for granted. The more you write, the better you will be, the more you write, etc. It’s all about practice and having the right approach to your writing.
Thanks Salja for commenting. I hope you have a great week.
Such a great article! I really like your last point from the meaning of the word w-r-i-t-e-r, the r:Respect! Writer must be respected, because sometimes they do their job for a few bucks.

Julie, thanks for your comments. What city are you in and what do you do?
The people that do the best writings are the people that write the most. You must get comfortable with writing and make it second nature so it comes so naturally to you. Great post by the way I like the way you set it up.

I worship and respect literature. I am trying to write but its not easy sometimes to put all your ideas in order and reflect them. I write drafts and I think its the main secret – to gather your idea in order first
Amy thanks for commenting. Brainstorming with another writer open up doors and ideas for you.
Very wise article! If an established blogger tries to help the younger or the struggling ones with their time and tips, it would be a great help for the blogging community.
